Meeting in August
The
next General Meeting will be on September 14 at Post Falls River Park take I 90 to Post Falls
take the Spokane Street exit take a right go across the river look to your right
you will see the park we will meet at Albertson’s parking lot at
Liberty Lake 11am and we will all cruise to Post Falls together. The ever
popular Lilac City Mopars Unlimited Poker Run will take place between Liberty
Lake and Post Falls.
The
Club will supply the Beverages - Soda’s (Pepsi products), Ice Tea and water
plus Joe Tamasonis will furnish STEAKS this year. If your Last name starts with
A-G please bring a Salad K-R please bring vegetables S-Z Desserts.

Tifft, Jeff and Polly Foster, Alan and Karen Zeutschel, Loren and Helen Hopkins,
and Mike and Raenette Sparlin all ventured to Seattle without a hitch this year
where we participated in the Northwest Nationals on July 26th and 27th.
Our own Bud Merritt was an award winner along with 9 other award winners 92 cars
participated in this gala event while 84 cars participated in the Drags on
Sunday. Fun was had by all.

Clean-up Overview for Spokane County Motorsports Park.
First
30-days following County taking ownership:
• County
Staff shall facilitate License/Use Agreements for usage of facility “As-Is”.
Hire
Security, change locks, and install
gates. Geiger Correction Crews will complete mowing,
trimming, tree/brush cutting and removal
on the property. Mowing and trimming will be
done again as necessary just prior to
organized clean-up activities. Arrangements will be
made for removal of barrels containing
waste. Notification process will occur and removal
of remaining hulk vehicles shall take
place.
Friday,
September 5th:
The following shall occur in preparation
for Sunday Clean-up:
• Delivery
of Porta-potties in designated locations (8-standard, 2-Accessible)
• Placement
of traffic cones and signage for directing traffic/clean-up activities
• Delivery
of six (6), forty (40) yard dumpsters for the collection of trash, debris, wood,
and drywall type waste.
• Marking
designated clean-up, staging, and depository areas
• Training
of “Team Leaders” to occur.
Saturday,
September 6th:
• Security
on-site to secure signage, traffic cones, and other materials set-up for
facilitating
clean-up.
The
Main Event! Sunday, September 7th:
7:00 A.M.: Clean-up Coordinators arrive:
(identified by wearing green safety vest)
7:30 A.M.: Team Leaders arrive:
(identified by wearing yellow safety vest)
Training
of Team Leaders to occur.
8:00 A.M.: “Sign-in” /
“Greeter’s” arrive and prepare for arrival of mass volunteers
Sunday, September 7th

8:30 A.M.: General Arrival
Volunteers are asked to enter the
property via Hayford Road and will be
welcomed by Greeter’s who will assist volunteers in “signing
in”. ALL
volunteers must sign-in, in order to participate in clean-up and by
doing so,
shall be provided Industrial Injury Insurance through Spokane
County’s
Self-Insured Workers Compensation Program.
Upon signing in, volunteers will
then proceed to the Command Center to
receive specific clean-up assignment. Command Center is easily
identified
by the large white awning, located in the “in-field” area behind
the drag
strip timing towers (indicated on map by information symbol).
9:00 A.M.: Volunteer Clean-up officially Begins!!!
11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.: Lunch will be served.
Lunch to be provided to volunteers
via volunteers and contributing
businesses solicited by volunteers.
3:00 P.M.: Clean-Up is officially Done.
Clean-up
assignments:
Clean-up assignments have been broken down into geographical areas,
with specific
tasks assigned. These areas have been identified on the site map
prepared for this
exercise as necessary said areas will be staged out through use of
marking paint and
physical signage. Now you know the rest of the story!!
I
MEMBERSHIP:
Membership shall consist of those interested in the preservation and restoration of MOPAR automobiles. Ownership of such automobiles is not a requirement for membership. Individual or family membership is available.
Members will be asked to attend at least 6 meeting or functions within the Club year to stay on active membership List.
Dues are $ 20.00 a year - for a single or family Club membership -
Renewable in October.
Family Membership:
A family membership includes; All current family members, age 18 and older. They are entitled to all club privileges, including the right to, two votes and hold office.
No proxies shall be allowed.
Dues will be $ 20.00 per Club year for Family Membership. Includes one Club T Shirt
Children under age 18 are welcome at all club meeting, functions, etc.
